My main concern is finding gas stations. Seems to me that the trickiest section is between Dawson City and Eagle Plains. Can he confirm that Eagle Plains actually has gas?
“I don’t think there is any gas between Dawson city and eagle plains. Which is a roughly 200 mile stretch. Pretty much every motorcycle you see is carrying an extra fuel tank. Otherwise, the gaps between stations isn’t too bad.”
I can send over his phone number if you want to send me a text.
Hey Robert, I’ve been tuning in to Matt Christiansen for years and have followed the Bible study. I’m also a motorcyclist and I heard about your trip to the Arctic Ocean. Ironically, I just saw a post from a friend of mine who arrived there 16 hours ago!
Never heard of the destination before and within a span of 12 hours I see content from two unrelated people about the subject… haha.
My friend’s name is Mac McIntyre and I met him while thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2011. Sounds like you may not want too many details along your route, but I could probably send over his phone number if you wanted some very recent insight as far as temps, showers, concerns etc.
You could shoot me a text if you want that info (706.490.4845). Otherwise, enjoy your trip and stay safe my friend! God bless.
