I must honestly say, this country is beautiful, and I love it.
Just like people feel awe at the stunning rice fields of Vietnam or the paradisaical Philippines islands, I am struck by the corn fields of Nebraska—the perfectly laid out, bright green plants breaking only for grain elevators and the occasional simple and unassuming church. You can feel the community as you drive by it on a perfectly flat and turn-free highway. It feels amazing.
The same goes for the cotton fields of West Texas, the endless grassy plains of Oklahoma, the solitary desertic grounds of New Mexico, the Alabama forests, and, of course, something like the California redwoods or Colorado Rockies.
I always feel like I am experiencing a dream, exploring an exotic land full of beauty, kind people, and perfectly designed travel amenities.
Omaha, by the way, does not disappoint. I had no expectations. I’ve never heard of anyone traveling here for some luxurious vacation. But they should. The city is beautiful, seamlessly blending the old with the new. If anything, it seems a little too bougie.

I am headed to the Badlands. Have a happy Fourth. We really do live in a dream. I am constantly grateful I was able to join this great nation.
We are getting to know it through your eyes and your comments... and it is a huge and beautiful country.
Beautiful pictures! Glad you are taking some to enjoy while driving!
