Your mediocre pictures have sold me on this place. This could be our trip next year. We will venture in my Crosstrek with its normal tires, but I'll have my gravel bike on the back. All coffee at the widget factory has been switched to K-Cups in your absence. We have also switched the mines to instant coffee to be heated up in the microwave. Oh, and we all have Macs now.

I knew horrors beyond my comprehension awaited my return, but instant coffee! I think the Geneva Convention outlawed that.

And you should definitely bring your bicycle here. People are bikepacking through. I can think of nothing better.

I’m not crying…you’re crying…

This sounds breathtaking!!!! Yes it is also true I will force you to drink my Keurig coffee if you don’t come home. I’m so glad you are getting this experience though. Truly amazing!!!

The pictures are absolutely stunning!!! I am living through your posts while in my office with no windows. Enjoy every bit of the ride and don't think about returning to work!

Was there a frugal reason to wait to get your tires versus doing it before embarking on this grand adventure? Those of us in the minds want to know.

What a stunning place, and apparently very popular this time of year.

My previous tires still had a lot of life on them, and I wanted to spare these off road tires 1500 miles of pavement. But, frankly, considering the delay it caused, maybe I should have done it back home.

As a mechanic that used to work in a tire store, I totally understand. your reasoning.

But the mechanic (and hoarder) in me would have done it myself then stored the 'still good' tires for that future use. (Ha)

I think you chose wisely.

Regardless, vicarious enjoyment of your chronicles is worthy of thanks. Jeanne and I applaud your adventure!
